J.V. (Jack) Dempsey

is Professor in the Instructional Design and Development program and Director of the Online Learning Lab at the University of South Alabama. His formal education includes a bachelor's in Graphic Arts Technology and a master's and doctorate in Instructional Systems from FSU. He teaches graduate courses in instructional strategies,computer-based training, and technology-based instructional development.

Jack has written numerous journal articles, chapters, and coedited Interactive Instruction and Feedback and Trends and Issues in Instructional Design and Technology .
